Cordoba City Council, together with other institutions and associations, promotes the Network of Territories for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Cordoba City Council, together with the Royal Spanish Lifesaving Federation, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Pandora Association (Italy) and the Region of Umbria (Italy) are the promoters of the Network of Territories for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This initiative was presented during the IV International Congress on Drowning Prevention (CIPREA 2024) which has been held these days in the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones of the capital of Cordoba.

The objective of this initiative is the creation of a network of territories in which public institutions and private entities participate, at an international level, to promote the dissemination of training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the extension of the instruments that allow it to be carried out, such as the defibrillator.

This dissemination extends to all areas of a territory, from the training of employees in companies and institutions to awareness campaigns in schools and among the general public.

Regarding this initiative, the Deputy Mayor for Occupational Health of Cordoba City Council, Cintia Bustos, stated that ‘Cordoba City Council is proud to be one of the institutions promoting this Network of Territories for CPR. We are committed to protected institutions and cities, and for this it is essential to train both workers and citizens. We hope that this initiative born in Cordoba will spread to many other cities and institutions so that, between all of us, we can enjoy safe and protected environments.’.
